Welcome back! We hope you all had an incredible Spring Break and are coming back to school feeling relaxed and ready to finish the year out strong.
Returning to school after Spring Break can be daunting. We know you may feel overwhelmed, so we’re here to offer some tips / reminders to help you out.
Sometimes, less is more:
Be realistic with your goals. Sometimes, we take on too much at once. The to-do lists we make for ourselves can get so long that we don’t know even know where to begin. Try not to bite off more than you can chew. Keep things as minimal as possible. Focusing on realistic, attainable tasks will serve you better than striving for perfection. Don’t forget to celebrate the little wins.
Don’t procrastinate:
Is there is something that you can get done today, but you are tempted to push it off to the next day? We all know that feeling. After a while, “I’ll do it tomorrow” starts to add up, and before you know it, you have a to-do list as long as a pharmacy receipt. If you procrastinate too much, it makes it that much harder to prioritize the things on that list. Want our advice? If you can do it now, do it now!
Structure is your friend:
Structure is key. If you are having trouble staying on top of your tasks, we highly recommend trying to set up a daily routine for yourself. Planners and organizers help a lot – whether you use apps on your phone or write it out by hand the old school way – having a visual aid helps us stay more organized. Of course, you’ll then want to allocate time for your various studies, but please don’t forget to dedicate some time for yourself, too!
Now that Spring Break 2023 has come and gone, it’s time to re-focus on that study game. We know it can be difficult to switch gears from vacation mode, but we believe in you!
