You either love or hate summer classes. Love it because you get those pesky general courses out of the way. Hate it because it takes time away from your summer vacation. Whether you’re full or half-time, here are a few ways to keep you motivated.
Create a task list – summer courses are accelerated, meaning information will come at a blistering pace. Try to break down your assignments into smaller segments to manage workload.
Force yourself into a routine – we understand you had plans to basically do little as possible for summer break after a long school year, but getting yourself into a routine will help you enjoy other activities throughout the day.
Limit distractions – it’s fairly easy to get hung up by endlessly scrolling through TikTok or binge-watching a whole series on Netflix, so find a place that will make you less likely to do that.
Take a walk – Taking a 15-30 minute walk does wonders for your productivity because it allows you to refresh your head after long sessions of doing homework or studying.
At the end of the day, you do what you need to do to accomplish your goals. If all these don’t motivate you, then think about the time and money you’re spending to take these courses. Good luck!
